Why teams pick us

Independent advice from a team that actually picks up the phone.

We aren't reselling a stack we're contractually locked into. Every recommendation is chosen because it fits your budget, your team, and the regulatory environment you actually operate in.

  • Owner-led. Bobby Cumbie personally scopes every engagement over 20 hours.
  • Flat-fee retainers. No metered helpdesk gotchas — your team can call without watching the clock.
  • Local, on-site when it matters. Same-day dispatch across Alameda, Contra Costa, and San Francisco counties.
  • Documentation-first. You keep every runbook, password vault, and network diagram we produce.

Clients

What Bay Area operators say.

“Bayline replaced three separate vendors we'd stacked over five years. Support tickets went from 40 a week to under ten, and we finally have documentation.”

FAQ

Common questions before we talk.

Do you work with businesses outside Oakland?

Yes — most of our clients are within a 45-mile radius (San Francisco, Berkeley, Emeryville, Alameda, Walnut Creek, Hayward). We also support remote-first teams anywhere in California.

What size company do you typically support?

Our sweet spot is 5 to 150 employees. Below five, an off-the-shelf managed service is usually cheaper. Above 150, we can still help with project work but you likely need an internal IT lead too.

How is pricing structured?

Managed services are billed as a flat monthly retainer based on user and device count. Project work is fixed-fee after the assessment stage. No hidden hourly surprises.

Do you resell hardware and software?

We can procure on your behalf at cost plus a small handling fee, or you can buy direct and we'll deploy it. Your choice — we're vendor-neutral.

Are you insured?

Yes, we carry general liability and cyber liability insurance. Certificates available on request.
